SNAPSHOTS OF SPIT SPLAT

Spit - Splat by Sumetha Nagalingam, Sama'a Al Hashimi, Athanasios Anthopoulos

SpitSplat is a game that aims to investigate the employment of non-verbal voice input in game control.

Non-speeh voices are used to splat the appropriate colour onto a canvas. The canvas is a shooting range with several moving targets, called "eyeos". By changing certain voice characteristics including pitch, loudness and duration the player is able to direct splats of paint towards targets. Altering pitch causes movement along the horizontal axis, while altering loudness causes movement along the vertical axis. The louder the voice, the further up the screen the splat moves.

The higher the pitch, the further to the right the splat moves.
The game incorporates two other kinds of elements as well, waterdrops and a paint bucket. Once the player hits a waterdrop, all eyeos that have been caught are released. If the player hits the paint bucket, the player is immediately transferred to the next level.

The overall game has three levels and as the level increase the eyeoes movement/speed increases as well which makes them more difficult to catch.

Players can target the splat to hit the moving eyeos. The eyeballs (top left corner)
represents the player's life in the game. Hitting the magic bucket automatically
takes the player to the next level.

In level 2 the eyeos move faster than level 1 and same goes for level 3.

When the player looses all his/her lifes before completing all three level, they are
presented with the game over page with their current score.

When the player succesfully completes all three level the end page is congratulation!
