SNAPSHOTS OF SPIT SPLAT Spit - Splat by Sumetha Nagalingam, Sama'a Al Hashimi, Athanasios Anthopoulos SpitSplat is a game that aims to investigate the employment of non-verbal voice input in game control. Non-speeh voices are used to splat the appropriate colour onto a canvas. The canvas is a shooting range with several moving targets, called "eyeos". By changing certain voice characteristics including pitch, loudness and duration the player is able to direct splats of paint towards targets. Altering pitch causes movement along the horizontal axis, while altering loudness causes movement along the vertical axis. The louder the voice, the further up the screen the splat moves. The
higher the pitch, the further to the right the splat moves. The overall game has three levels and as the level increase the eyeoes movement/speed increases as well which makes them more difficult to catch. |
